FLUSHING SCHEDULES: Presque Isle Harbor Water Company periodically schedules flushing of the entire system in order to maintain the best quality of water and operation of all fire hydrants. Flushing is generally scheduled twice annually, each spring and fall. Please refer to our Flushing Schedule page for more information.
BOIL WATER ADVISORY: Presque Isle Harbor Water Company rarely experiences the need to issue Boil Water Advisories, but In the event of an advisory, you will be notified. You can add your information to our email list for notification, a notice will be posted to your door, or it will be published via radio or newspaper notice. NOTICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS: PIH Water Company does not permit the use of public water to assist with the heating of your home using an open loop heating system. As a result of this use of water, the water company has identified higher than average pumping rates during periods of cold weather. Water meter installation will be scheduled in the near future to promote the conservation of water and to keep operating costs down for all customers.
Be sure to run all your water outlets for a few minutes after a flushing or a boil water advisory until the water runs clear again!
