Boil Walter Advisories
Presque Isle Harbor Water Company rarely needs to issue boiled water advisories because in most cases of a damaged water line, positive water pressure is used to prevent contamination from bacteria. Positive pressure and flushing are typically used to prevent the introduction of bacteria into the water system
In the event of an advisory, you will be notified. it generally takes 16-24 hours to get back test results for bacteria before the advisory is lifted.
Boiling water for one to three minutes will kill bacteria if any are present.
We will post information here and on our Facebook page. You will be notified either by notice posted to your door, by radio or newspaper publication, or you can sign up for email notifications here.
Any notice of a Boil Water Advisary will also be posted on this page along with status of when it is lifted.
